Upgraded the TWiki to
v4.1.1 which is dubbed the
Edinburgh release. This release seems to be a better performance. We also now have a
PDF generation tool that can create PDF documents from single or multiple TWiki pages.
Click on the PDF buttons at the top or bottom of each TWiki page to create a PDF copy of it. See the
GenPDFAddOn topic for more information.

I have upgraded the baanboard wiki to
v4.0.2 of the TWiki software (
Dakar release). Some major new features are:
- Integrated session support
- Security sandbox blocking exploits for remote command execution on the server
- Edit conflict resolution with automatic merge
- Multilingual UI
- E-mail confirmations for registration
- WYSIWYG editor (beta)
I also decided to forego the classic 'baanboard look' and instead use the much nice Pattern Skin that comes by default with the package. It provides a much clearer, lighter and pleasant representation of the web content. I hope that it can stimulate the activity on our Wiki a bit as well!

I accentidally removed the
images of the
Programmer's Manual web during the last forum upgrade. This would have caused many manual pages to display with broken images. I have restored the images from backup and all manual pages should show up alright again. My apologies for the inconvenience.

The Wiki has been upgraded to the latest version of TWiki (Cairo). Although this is still
beta release it has been deemed stable enough to allow for use in production sites. The Cairo release contains a great number of bug fixes and a substantial list of new features. You can view all of these on the TWiki.org site:
http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Codev/CairoRelease.

One of the reasons to upgrade already to an intermediate beta release was the solving of the search/index limitation that existed in the previous release due to the underlying limitation of the UNIX 'grep' command. This was affecting the use of the
Progmanerp web.

So we went live for a select audience yesterday! Hope that you will like the TWiki and will get accustomed to it asap. Any hardcore FAQ-writers: this is your chance to start making waves
The TWiki is still quite empty, much of the content you see comes standard with TWiki. However, adding content is as simple as
[Edit] ing one of the WebHome pages, adding a
WikiWord to it and then clicking on the question mark. Try it!

I accidentally forgot to clear the write permission on the
Infouser.WebHome and
Infodevel.WebHome pages.

My apologies for that. Anyone can now edit the WebHome pages again.
