Provides technical and functional support in the areas of; ERP systems administration, problem resolution, support, process mapping, system testing and development, security access, and training. Analyzes, implements, and supports worldwide offices running on Infor ERP in a Microsoft Windows and SQL Server environment. Provides end-user support in the development of ad-hoc queries and reports.
Historically, Infor operated a highly restrictive sales channel, limiting its value-added resellers (a.k.a. VARs and channel partners) to sell into companies that generate revenues of no more than $100 million per year. With its August 8th announcement (covered here: Infor Eases Sales Restrictions for Channel Partners), Infor now allows its channel to sell to companies that generate revenues of up to $500 million per year.
The old restrictions made it difficult - in some cases near impossible - for channel partners to generate revenues from the sale of software licenses. Many of Infor's systems are geared to companies that generate revenues far in excess of $100 million annually. For example, Infor10 ERP Enterprise (formerly ERP LN and Baan) is a feature rich, complex system designed for larger mid-sized and large enterprise-sized manufacturers of complex, engineer-to-order (ETO) products. The $100 million cap effectively made the "reseller" title more theoretical than practical for those firms that only resold Infor10 ERP Enterprise (ERP LN).

Infor has recently released the ION Support Assistant (ISA). This tool is available, free of charge, for all customers with a maintenance contract and can be installed on your Baan4 and/or ERP LN system. Get incidents resolved faster with the help of this automated tool, which gathers reliable and precise information about the setup of your Infor Software and the environment in which it is running. When you contact us with a new incident or question, the Infor Xtreme Support engineers can begin resolving the issue immediately because they will already be acquainted with your specific installation details like portingset, tools version, installed solutions etc. The ION support assistant also enables Proactive Support. This makes it possible for Infor to send the right message, to a targeted audience, at the right time. A few examples are: when there is a critical bug that only customers running a particular version of the software need to be notified of, or a timely notification when a Database Vendor stops supporting a certain version of their product to only those customers that are running on that database.
