I have a customization that was done to the sales order header which allowed for the entry of credit card information. I am looking for a third party solution (plug-in) for securing the credit card number and the expiration date entered in session tdsls 4101m000. Currently running Baan IV C4 SP 10 using SPL Win 2003. Any suggestions?
I was a little skeptical about Infor as a company, looking at the pace they have been acquiring all the companies. It is hard to prioritize the R & D, support and Sales & Marketing of the various software products. This is especially true in times when the competition is tough, customers are unforgiving and the gloomy outlook of the economy-in-general.
Infor's CEO Jim Schaper has differentiated his company from aggregrators by announcing continued commitment and spending on Research & Development to the tune of$325 Million over the next 4 years. These are the dollars that will directly help the customers in not only increasing the usability of the current Infor application that they use but also make it easy to tap in to the functionality of other Infor application relatively easily. This is made possible by the SOA based framework, which is event driven. The framework itself will be delivered free of cost to any Infor user for the number of user licenses that they currently possess. Additional useage licenses can be purchased and integrations to the legacy/other applications can be done by purchasing the Development studio, the price of which is reasonable as well.
Some of the key improvements announced include Infor MyDay, DEM 2.0, Enterprise SOA framework, MDM. Time permitting I will try to type up some of my notes from attending various sessions for these improvements. I also saw a growing trend of MK and Baan IV users interested in upgrading to Baan ERP Ln.

I need to understand how the rate factor in tcmcr0101m000 in BAAN 4c4 MCR0 is used. Recently our exchange rate to the USD short up to 160million. We cannot enter 160 000 000 in the purchase rate or sales rate field as it exceeds the field size. Now we attempt to use the rate factor as follows. We put 160 000 in the purchase rate and use a rate factor of 1000. My assumption is that this is equivalent to an effective rate of 160 million.
Now when i do some test transactions, the results are as expected. For transaction done in local currency using the above scenario, the resultant exchange rates is equal to 166,666,666.67 instead of the 160,000,000 i have used above. When converting from foreign currency to the home currency the resultant exchange rate is 160 and not 160 000 000 which i have input above.
Can someone enlighten me if I am using the rate factor correctly in this instance, if not how can i inpute rates in excess of the fieldsize eg 160 000 000
