How do I apply for a job?
By patvdv at 18 May 2008 - 16:47

Only registered users may apply for posted jobs. You can use the following methods to apply for a job:

  1. click on the Apply for this job link at the bottom of the job page. This will automatically inform the recruiter via e-mail that you have expressed an interest in the job. It is then up the recruiter to contact you either via the site or directly. The recruiter will be able to track your job application in his own Job applications screen, see My Baanboard > My Job Applications.
  2. reply to the job posting via the Add comment option at the bottom of the job page.
  3. use the contact details specified in the job posting to directly contact the recruiter (i.e. via e-mail, phone, ...)

Note that baanboard does not guarantee that the owner of a job posting you applied for (i.e. the recruiter) will actually contact you. Baanboard will only inform the recruiter of your potential interest.

How to create Oracle users/roles manually
By Markus Schmitz at 23 Feb 2008 - 23:44

You can create all needed users/roles manually, but you have to keep the same passwords, because you have only one ora_users file for all databases.

Here we go:

1) You need to create the schema owner. In Unix this is normally baan and in NT often baandb:

How to perform Baan Automation together with BOI data
By dberg72 at 18 Sep 2015 - 14:41

Hi,

For years we are working with the BOI's used with BCK 1.3 software, Create COM objects, register them on the server, etc. All working fine.
We have build on this technology an extranet, together with web services.

Now we want to stop using the Java Client and BOI COM dll's on the Windows server side (32 bits, registry setting) and go on with the Baan Automation (Baan Client on the server).
I saw some samples of Baan Automation, which are working fine, even with return variables in reference calls.

We can build off course our own library, and then return a separated string, containing the records, but most of the logic is already there in our BOI's.
So  we still want to use the exisiting BOI libraries (baan side) to retrieve, update and delete the data. Therefore I call the class through ASP.NET by:

'Sample code
BaanObj = Server.CreateObject("Baan4.Application.default")
BaanObj.Timeout = 30

'Predefined variables:
ccur.f.Text = "USD"
ccur.t.Text = "USD"
StructCurrency = 0 'Reference variable to the BaanObj call
StructError = 0  'Reference variable to the BaanObj call
ReqdFields = ""
CallId = 0
SetSize  = 1000
SetComplete = "N"
Company As Integer = 100
