Openworld with baan IV - invalid JVMI license
By sreekanth_vvs at 9 Jun 2010 - 20:57

After setting up Baan IV and Openworld, while we start the tmboaserver i get the error message

"Cannot start TMBOASERVER: failed to start java, Invalid JVMI license".

What could be the reason and how do we resolve this?

By rajeshkrsaini at 14 Apr 2010 - 07:41
Is there any work around or solution if First free series is exhausted in BAAN IV.

We are unable to maintain First free numbers as all the series in single & double digit are used.Alphanumberic series can't be used in this session.

Workaround or any standard procedure to resolve the issue .

We were baaN Users on Unix and Oracle. We migrate to Windows and SQL server. ^Problem with files format
By davenon at 16 Dec 2009 - 17:11

We create, in a report script files with code like below:

        IF code.login = "davenon" THEN
  idfac =,"w")
  idfac =,"w")
 IF idfac < 1 THEN
  |*Ouverture rapport impossible

and write with :

  mntbrut  = sprintf$("%@9999999,99@",( -1 * transport.forfait))
  enrcpt = "VTE" & CSV
   & dat6factur & CSV & nopiece & CSV
   & tdsls045.ttyp & SLASH & nofactur & CSV
   & "708" & nucompte708.SAGE & CSV
   & "" & CSV
         & facturavoir & nofactur & " " & raisocpt & CSV
   & "" & CSV
   & "" & CSV
   & mntbrut & CSV
   & mntbrut & CSV
   & "0,00"
         retour = seq.puts(enrcpt,idcpt)

Now , we are using in Windows and SQL server environnement. The files created with this code are in format Unix and we need to convert  them in Windows Format.

How can we obtain files in windows format ?

Thanks to all. I'm sure to obtain a good respons by you

BaanIVc4/Oracle 10g/Migration issues
By jsbrouse at 8 May 2009 - 19:11

We recently migrated our Baan IVc4 system from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g and upgraded to porting set 6.1c.07.21 on a HP-UX 11:31 system.

We are having problems with 3 customized sessions we developed for processing records from an external system.  The sessions poll external table (Baan views) and process records to try and make Baan real time. The problems we are experiencing didn’t happen prior to the migration.  Nothing with the sessions changed for the migration.

Only one session actually errors (see below).  Our DBA said this error isn’t an Oracle 10g error.  We did have our programmer put the session in debug to figure out where the problem is happening.  It is happening on a simple select statement.

Print Replenishment Picking List for Shortages Item
By edo_limbat at 20 Mar 2009 - 10:47

Dear All,

 I would like to ask about print RPL Picking List in Baan IVc4.

Does anybody know how to print RPL Picking List for shortages item?

If you all know the process in Sales Order, when we print Picking List for Sales Order, the print out will show us all item include the shortages item (show with dots mark).

Can I print RPL Picking List with the same way like SO? I need to print the shortages item also.

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards,
