How to reset revision if error on BOM is made???
By mjsmjs13 at 4 Oct 2012 - 20:19

How can you break the link between E-Items and Items in IVc4?

Every now and then we find the need to break the links through revisions, copy data, etc so that we can fix an error on the engineering side and then copy it back over (this is for items that aren't currently under ECO control). In IVb,I could turn off rev control, delete the relationship and reset the revision. We've just migrated to IVc4 and now I find that if there's BOM copy data, I can't delete the relationship and I can't delete the BOM copy data, so I have no "legal" way of fixing an error short of creating a new revision.

Infor LN and Baan Planning Tip #1: Feed the Planning Engine Accurate and Timely Data
By Jonathan Gross at 27 May 2011 - 17:15

The credit crunch and recovery have exposed manufacturers to volatile demand. The earthquake in Japan has exposed manufacturers to volatile supply. The key to effective management of supply and demand lies in a manufacturer's planning activities.

In this series of bi-weekly tips, we break down the secrets to effective replenishment planning and shop scheduling. Pemeco Consulting is a leading vendor-agnostic provider of Supply Chain and ERP services to companies running Infor LN and Baan ERP systems. Learn about our niche speciality Infor LN and Baan ERP services and our Planning Dashboard for ERP LN and Baan.

A planning engine is a lot like a high-performance athlete. It can only perform if it’s well-trained, in shape and well-prepared. Like an athlete, if it’s only fed a steady diet of junk food, it’s simply not going to perform optimally.

NAZDAQNAZDAQ, the maker of Add-ons for Baan and ERP Ln is glad to announce a new campaign under the name "Keep cool this summer with new versions and flavors of NAZDAQ products!".

The new campaign announces the release of new versions for the popular utilities, used by Baan and ERP Ln customers in 50 countries, including a major release of B2Win 6.0 and Baan Hot Link 6.0, with smaller changes made to Baan Mail- Merge, B2Email Plus and B2Email Standard. The NAZDAQ offering includes a new product - Baan Query Tool - yet another great way to retrieve data from Baan.

Logistics From a Finance Perspective
By kbarthelt at 16 May 2014 - 20:04

Came across this and thought it might be helpful to some Baan IV users out there. One of our Finance consultants put this list together when creating a class that we call "Logistics From A Finance Perspective". Basically, this gives you the transcactions in PCS, Cost Accounting, SFC, Hours Accounting, Purchasing, Sales, RPL and ILC that have implications in Finance, and the logistics tables that are involved.

Maintain Form Fields
By Thomson S at 6 Jun 2012 - 13:30

Hi,

In Maintain Form, in the field attributes, there are four options for 'Field Type' like  Display, Input, Display Only, Input Only.

What are the differences b/w input and input only and display - display only.

Could you please make me understand.
