Summarize briefly the major function and purpose of the position.
This position is part of the Corporate IT ERP Deployment Team focused on implementing a common ERP system across various JBT businesses as defined by the executive leadership team. The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
·Support the Corporate IT ERP Deployment Team as we roll out Infor ERPs to JBT businesses in a rolling release as approved by the Steering Committee
·Responsible to lead process review from each site’s legacy system to the new ERP.
·Work with end users to support organization change management so processes can be changed/adapted to system requirements
·Maintains documentation of recommended process flows and work instructions for processes for the new ERP
·Maintains the translation of those process flows to a testing script to be used for each pilot test
·Understand key master data, codes, parameters, and settings in the system
·Lead each site through data cleansing activities to clean up data in legacy systems so a smooth transition is possible
·Responsible for providing business units with initial validation of data migrated and working with the business unit to receive acceptance sign off
·Support requirements gathering and specification writing to aid the technical team in report and integration development
·Provide training and troubleshooting support to sites on the use of the ERP system
·Other duties as assigned
The ERP system touches all aspects of the business and often requires process change for every site. It is important that this role be able to handle the interpersonal relationships with users at every site, who have mixed skills, and mixed motivations to help them through the change management process.
Regular travel to various JBT sites as part of the ERP deployment is required. Travel expectations in the range of 50-60% are typical
What are the minimum qualifications an employee must have in order to perform the duties of the position? (I.e. educational requirements, licenses, certification, work experience, training etc.)
At least 5 years of work experience with ERP systems
·Good functional understanding/experience with following modules: Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing, Service, Projects and/or Finance
Experience supporting implementation and organizational change management dynamics required
Must have excellent customer service mindset, including the ability to resolve difficult disputes without losing relationships or spending company resources unnecessarily.
What additional training will an employee require to continue to perform the duties of the position?
Training can be provided to enhance knowledge in LN, Excel, Word, Visio and other tools needed for the role.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY:
Explain the degree of supervision/guidance, procedures/ processes used judgement, creativity, planning & resourcefulness needed to do the job.
Position exercises a high degree of independence and autonomy in managing the ERP deployment. Regular reviews with the ERP Project Manager and the Corporate IT ERP Deployment Team are normal via conference call and virtual collaboration tools.
How are errors detected and what is possible impact of those errors?
Errors are detected through data validations and conference room pilot testing. Successful issue resolution following each data migration and conference room pilot test. Ultimate success of the team is evaluated by the successful roll out of the ERP to sites with minimal business disruption
