QKEY Questions for Baan V
By 208036255 at 16 Nov 2012 - 20:40

How do we view and troubleshoot a qkey script?  That is, one that wraps around a Baan scriptAre there known issues with running Qkey running from a NAS (NFS share)?

Are there any known performance problems related to Qkey and a way to troubleshoot?

As an example:  dsl4501 uses QKEY.  We would like to know how to see what qkey is programed to do in this scenario.  We have located qkvi and qkview on our dev instance. Those seem to be editors but we are not able to see the contents.

Normally I do not check blogs for questions. If your OS is unix just use vi(or notepad) to view the file. If you use qkvi(i think that is what it was) it strips all the qkey commands from the script - only leaving what you entered. Of course if you enter code in the wrong spot qkey might just strip it out.

We use NFS shares from netapp nas device on solaris 10 servers without issues. So no known issue that I know of or encountered just yet. If it is all you scripts then yes you might have an issue, if just one script it might just be something in it. Then you can just compile in debug mode and run normally to see what happens.

PS - You might get more answers if you post in the Tools forum.
