SR BUSINESS ANALYST - San Carlos, CA
Natus is a leading provider of healthcare products used for screening, detection, treatment, monitoring and tracking of common medical ailments such as hearing impairment, neurological dysfunction, epilepsy, sleep disorders, newborn jaundice and newborn metabolic testing.
SUMMARY: The Analyst performs a variety of application duties in support of the Natus business, using packaged software applications, custom built software interfaces and bolt-on software packages. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs in developing specifications including scope, objectives and documents technical requirements. Will be expected to lead complex projects, direct programmers, and supervise outside consultants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers. 2. Day to day support of mission critical production applications, in support of the business. 3. Work with senior management, and outside contractors as needed, to establish a multi-year global strategy to provide application support. 4. Be the subject matter expert for Baan use within the business. 5. Use disciplined project management methodologies to ensure IT projects are completed on time and within budget. 6. Ensure all Sarbanes-Oxley and 21 CFR Part 11 control processes are in place and updated as needed. 7. Evaluate, test, install and implement new software, new versions, fixes and upgrades with minimal impact to the end user. 8. Develops and maintain up-to-date electronic documents on system configuration, application security, problem tracking, and user documentation. 9. Participate with other departments in the research, design, development, implementation and maintenance of the company-wide information and business process systems.
Supervisory responsibilities: No direct reports, but is expected to manage outside consultants. May supply leadership to other IT staff within the role of project management.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in the from a four-year college or university, or 8 years business experience.
•Strong Baan 5C experience or other ERP applications with Distribution and Manufacturing. •Working knowledge and experience in supporting applications based MS SQL Server, Oracle Databases, VB Script, and C++ •Strong Ability to work in a team environment with excellent customer service attitude and good verbal and written communication skills. •Ability to understand business requirements for applications •Ability to understand the software development life cycle and the process to building quality applications •Experience with working within a matrix management organization.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
