Why is my account locked and how to unlock it?

Why got my account got locked?

Your account has been temporary locked because we received e-mail bounces from your registered email address when sending notifications or update messages to your email address. Members whose account has been locked for this purpose will only have limited access to content on this site.


The most common reasons why we would receive e-mail bounces from your registered e-email address are:

  • non-existing mailbox or user account
  • invalid e-mail address (e.g. obsolete domain name)
  • storage quota of mailbox exceeded
  • your mail server denying relaying baanboard messages
  • your mail server thinking baanboard messages are spam
  • network/routing problems

What do I have to do to get my account unlocked?

  1. Fix up your e-mail account/mailbox or get a new one. If you switch to a new address then please pick a reliable one or else your baanboard account will end up getting locked out again after a while.
  2. Write down your current username (login name) and old & new e-mail address and send these details to a site administrator (via the contact form or to lockme -AT -
  3. You will receive confirmation when your account has been unlocked.

Important Notes

  • Even if you update your e-mail address yourself in your UserCP, you must still notify the site administrator and ask to have your account unlocked! This will not happen automatically!
  • If you have trouble reaching the site administrator then please use the Private Messaging feature and send a message to patvdv.
  • Sometimes we will receive requests to re-activate an account but we are unable to conform the unlocking of the account because our confirmation email is being rejected by a spam filter (!).
