Question Why Parallel processing is not supported in B50c. Is there any workaround for this?

Why Parallel processing is not supported in B50c. Is there any workaround for this? Why canâ??t we have the old functionality ?

In Baan 5c , The transfer Lot quantity concept re places the earlier used functionality â?? Overlap percentageâ? with some change.
in baan 5c The transfer lot quantity forces you to complete the some quantity or quantity entered in that field (at least one unit) to start the next operation .
that means parallel processing of operation is not possible inb Baan 5 c

My customer has commented as follows:

â??Prevailing market pressures require most companies to reduce overall product cycle time. To approach this requires the flattening of Product structure (Bills of material) and incorporating what would normally be defined as a sub-assembly into a continuous process or feeder process in the manufacture of the product. This requires parallel operation processing without phantom bill structures. The transfer lot quantity and network routing logic forces either sequential processing of at least one unit or the addition of a phantom layer in the bill of material. Neither concept facilitates the object of overall reduced cycle time when you consider both production time and engineering change processing.

I would think it would be a much more beneficial business practice to add functionality in addition to the old functionality. Therefore increasing their market. "

Baan: BaanERP -
In Corelli we decided to integrate with SCS Scheduler.
This is an external Advanced Plannings solution owned by BaaN.
To make this integration possible, to some extend we had to conform to the Scheduler datamodel.

Besides, the concept of Transfer Batch better models reality.
Having 100% parallel operations is a "trick" for flattening the BOM.
No phantoms are required indeed and still you can do operations in parallel.

Adding this "parallel" option again is still in discussion in Manufacturing.
