Baan: ERP LN - DB: MS-SQL - OS: MS-WINDOWS
ERROR 5098 on Customer/Supplier Update
Baan: Baan IVc4
C/S: None/Unknown

Hi All,

We are getting following error while updating Customer/Supplier in Baan IV:

Errno 0 bdb_errno 5098 (bdb_errno 5098)
FATAL ERROR: Error 5098 (bdb_errno 5098) on tccom010100 in db_update(51)
Can not continue in tccom1101m000 in DLL: ottstpstandard (<528>[db.update]

Oracle Log says:

ORA-04098: trigger 'BAAN.a_u_TTCCOM010100' is invalid and failed re-validation

What is the root cause for these errors. We are getting fatal error for invoices too.

Regards,

Vikram

Baan: 2.2/3.1/4c4/LN6.1 FP6/FP9/HiDox - DB: tbase, ms-sql7, oracle10gV1, 11g - OS: HP-UX, W2K3, SLES
Trigger on oracle ?

Hello,

ORA-04098: trigger "string.string" is invalid and failed re-validation

Cause: A trigger was attempted to be retrieved for execution and was found to be invalid. This also means that compilation/authorization failed for the trigger.

Action: Options are to resolve the compilation/authorization errors, disable the trigger, or drop the trigger.

You can also try running the following show errors command to check for errors in the trigger:

SHOW ERRORS TRIGGER trigger_name;

When you have a syntax error in a trigger, you can issue this query to see the exact reasons why Oracle threw the ORA-04098 error:

select *
from
user_errors
where
type = 'TRIGGER'
and
name = 'TRIG_NAME';
------------------------------------------
Maybe a trigger is created at DB-Level outside the application ?

Regards
