Print Delivery Notes- Report customization - Merge 2 item rows in report script
Baan: ERP LN 6.1 FP3
C/S: None/Unknown

Hi Pals,

Session: whinh4477m000
dll : inhdll4477

We have a customized Report where we are Printing Item Details in table format. Many records that are Printed are identical and only Shipped quantity is different.

Current Output:
No. Item Item Description Quantity
10 A abc 5
10 A abc 10
20 A abc 7

Required output
No. Item Item Description Quantity
10 A abc 15 <---- 1st 2 rows are merged
20 A abc 7

I cannot make changes in the Program Script or Dll. Need to make changes only in report script to attain this.

In Report Layout , each record is printed using the input variable and then 2nd record is printed using layout.again().

How to get all the records at once and manipulate the data to get the desired output.

in detail layout you will have to dynamically assign the value of Position Number and Item to an array, and pre calculate the value of quantity before printing the layout.

And for every detail you will have to check if it exists in the dynamic array? If it exists then do not print it and if it does not exists then you have to pre calculate the quantity and print it.

Use lattr.print = false for not printing the records.
