Potential audit issues at restore procedure

Hi, all.

We regularly create backups of our application server files, including files of audit, that are configured for the tables in application.
But what troubles we can face if we will restore application files from backup, that will be not up-to-date? For Example: we create a backup at 22:00; then the users are working to 11:00, changing the data in the tables and corresponding audit files, and then we need to restore application data from backup. But data in the restored audit files do not match the data in the user tables. What it can affect ?
