Baan: LN 10.4 - DB: Oracle - OS: HP-Unix
Baan Implementation Steps in General
Baan: Baan IVc4
DB: Oracle 9.0.1.x
OS: AIX 5L 5.3
C/S: Both

Hello All

Needed to know the Baan Implementation steps in General. I do not have any specific Version of Baan in Mind, although i have worked in this particular are for Baan IVc4.

Some of the steps, i have written down which i thought would be essential.

1) Need to take Back Up of the Existing System.
2) After taking Back we need to create the Home Directory for Baan $BSE/
3) Need to copy all the Directories to $BSE

After that some of the steps which i know but dont know the specific order are
Configuring the License Server, Creating the Data Dictionary, Uploading the data into the Tables, starting the Baan Application itself

Could somebody help regarding the steps and their Sequence?

Regards
Ajesh

Baan: LN FP 1-9, 10.4, a little bit of Baan IV - DB: SQL Server 2008, Oracle - OS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Unix
Hi,

I would advice to go through the documentation of the required versions. With every version, the OS used and type of database deployed the steps might change.
