Restore differential backup in SQL Server 2005
Baan: ERP LN 6.1 FP2
DB: SQL Server 2005
OS: Windows XP
C/S: Server

Can anyone pls tell me how to restore differential backup in SQL server 2005?
I have to take full backup weekly and differential backup daily from SQL Server.
I want to know if my database gets down and I want to restore differential backup then should I directly restore it or first I have to restore full backup in SQL server?

If you want to restore a backup differential, you must first restore the full backup and the last differential backup.

If you do this in Management Studio, it automatically selects the required full-copy and play both.
