Exclamation Can a normal user switch from his current package combination.
Baan: Baan IVc2
C/S: None/Unknown

Can a normal user switch from its current package combination to some other desired package combination?
The requirement is to switch from the current package combination to some other package combination and create records in that package combination. only super user has got the rights to access all the package combination so we can use Switch.to.company() but normal user cannot use the function. Can a normal user be given rights to access more than one Package combination? Or is there any other solution to meet the requirement.

PLEASE SEND US THE SOLUTION ASAP. IT'S VERY URGENT.....

I don't see why not - you can give them access to the company, you should be able to give them access to ttadv0140m000 to change their current package and VRC. You might(not sure about this) have to give them some developers rights - but you do not have to give them access to the development sessions. So I think you can, but we do not do this.

My latest mantra - make sure you have latest stpapi patches and the latest session object. If on LN then please explore the option of using DAL2 functionality.

Create a second bw config file and put the other package comb and company in the command line. That way you do not need to have normal users in the tools sessions.

example

-- -set PACKAGE_COMB=B40Cc4cp -set BSE_COMPNR=640
