Question PRP Warehouse Orders (WH to project) don’t allocate standard items.

PRP WH orders are genereted for a project. The standard item that is planned transferred from WH to project is not in stock, but planned received from a standard SFC production order before the planned delivery date of the WH-order.
The PRP WH order has status Planned, and the status can’t be changed to confirmed (that makes sense because of lack of items on hand). The customized item has a link to a standard item in tipcs021.dfit. This standard item should have been allocated because of the PRP WH-order, but it don’t.
The only way to get a allocation is to change something at the planned WH-order, as an example set the status to “firm-planned” or change the “Planned Delivery Date.” This has to be done for all planned WH-orders to get an allocation at the standard item.
Have anyone of you seen this problem before, and do you know how to solve it?

Have you tried to regenerate MRP so the demand can be passed to the planning system? Try a regen once the inventory has been posted and see if the allocations appear. Hope this helps.

Smile Can confirm standard item in PRP WH order

If you are talking about a standard item of item type "Manufactured" on a PRP WH order in BAAN Project (tp) then there should be no problem to change the status from "Planned" to "Confirmed" in case no inventory is on hand.
After the PRP WH order has been transfered to Warehousing and has become a 'Transfer' order the demand will be picked up in Enterprise Planning as a planned production order.
The next step is to transfer the planned production order to an SFC production order.
After this one has been set to completed the actual costs of the SFC production order will be booked on the BAAN Project (tp) in case the Warehouse Delivery Type was set to WH -> Proj. when the PRP WH order was transfered to Warehousing and no project warehouse was defined at the PRP WH order level..

Of course this is only true in b50.

Regards,

Edwin
