Which Tools Objects needed for AFS (Application Function Server)?

Dear All

We use a rather "old" Baan IVc0 (zero!) installation.
Now we have the need to use AFS (Application Function Server).

We know from a former BOW project, that it is possible to run the AFS if we would switch (and add) some of the tools objects in $BSE/tools/ttB40_c/ottstp.

Could you help? Do you know somebody who did it already?

Regards
mack45

Hey , You can use objects in your program. Search your baan directory. ( /bse/tools/ ) You will see available objects for usage.
You can see contents of them by using bic_info6.1 -a object .

Good Luck !!!

Well ostpapihand is certainly one of them. But no telling what kind of results you will get.

My latest mantra - make sure you have latest stpapi patches and the latest session object. If on LN then please explore the option of using DAL2 functionality.

There have been alot of changes and bug fixes in the standard program for AFS. The standard program is tied to TT in the service packs and to the porting set. Once you can get to an update porting set you should be able to use AFS. Also, not all Baan standard programs are compliant with AFS. I know that 4c4 has been brought more current with the service packs, but I am not sure about the other versions.

Good Luck!
