Reset Stock Inventory

Hi guys

I would like to reset all of my inventory stock back to 0. But I don't want to use cycle count order, because I have many receipt transaction in my system and it seems impossible to do it using cycle counting order.

Do you have any alternative to solve my problem?

Thanks,
Harley

Dear Harley,

First of all; you're doing this on a test system, right? You'd better be

Well, If I had to do the same thing (on a test system), in fact I'd use cycle counting indeed. Of course with the help of Exchange.

Rgds,
Paul

dear Paul,

Unfortunately, we are not in a test system but in a live environment.

Many thanks for your advice.

Question receipts and stock

Hi Harley,

I gather the fact that you probably want to remove all the records that have the inventory on order status, given pending receipts, etc, but if you do need to reset status, what specific problem requires you to take such drastic measures, pls detail your specific problem.

If for instance, there is a problem with a small number of receipts that is incorrect, you could post negative receipts to clear the receipts.

Clearly GTM, or Cycle counting are not suitable in your case, so send more details of problems encountered.

Best Regards,

Use AFS

Hi,

we created a session that starts other BaaN sessions via AFS to create cycle counting and process them with quan = 0.

here is the key logic:

choice.cont.process:
before.choice:
on.choice:

stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "cwar.f", str$(cwar.f) )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "cwar.t", str$(cwar.f) )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "wloc.f", "" )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "wloc.t", "zzzzzzzz" )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "citg.f", "" )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "citg.t", "zzzzzz" )

stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "item.t", "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "var.count.whro", str$(999) )
stpapi.put.field( "tdinv1220m000", "max.count.totl", str$(99999999) )

stpapi.continue.process( "tdinv1220m000", error )

mess.code = stpapi.get.mess.code( "tdinv1220m000" )
if strip$( mess.code ) <> ""
then
mess( mess.code, 1 )
endif
stpapi.end.session( "tdinv1220m000" )

Dear gentercz,

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with AFS. I highly appreciate for your kind attention if you could help me with what I have to do with your below script.

Thanks
