Access to Both a default menu and DEM browser

Hello,
we are working on setting up access for a user who would like both the default Baan menu tree and our DEMs.

Question #1

From a DEM is it possible to call a default menu.
We tried using session ttdskmbrowser, and specifing the menu to be called as an argument, but it would not call the specified menu, instead it would open the user's root DEM.

Question #2

From a Menu, is it possible to call a DEM browser ?,
I used to do this from a desktop manager, but I have forgotten the session that I called, I am not sure if it was tgbrg5501m000, or another session, if it was tgbrg5501m000, what are the program arguments required ?

Thanks for you help,
John

I would suggest using Worktop, since this has support for both the standard menu and the DEM browser in the same window.

The DEM process flow diagrams need a little work, as does printing, but it's supposed to be "the way forward"!

Both, yes

From DEM you can create a process linked to ttdskmbrowser

The menu started will be the one defined in Maintain user session.
The user is defined in my think with DEM explorer.

From menu browser you can open user´s dinamic menu:

Yes. You can do it using AFS (function server) from tgbrg4100m000 session.

Or using this code:

Code:
#pragma used dll "otgbrg0008"

function main()
{
         domain tgbrg.user usuario
         usuario = logname$
         tgbrg0008.start.screen(usuario, FALSE)
}
Hope this helps,

alejandro

Hello,

You can link the ttdskmbrowser as a session to the activity and then the menu name as an argument.
This way an activity in the DEM can contain the menu you want addditionally to be started.

I tried ttdskmbrowser as an activity

This did not work,
the menu that was opened was always the user's default menu from 'Maintain Users,' not the menu specified as an argument.

Thanks though,
John
