The job description follows:

Title: ERP Administrator & Developer

Reports to Whom: Manager, Applications Development

General Purpose:

To be the key resource for managing Baxa’s ERP system (currently Baan IV c4).

Organizational Chart/Reporting Relationship:

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Works under the general direction of the Manager of Applications Development.

Essential Functions:
• Will perform the necessary administration to ensure daily continuity of the ERP system.
• Will provide functional expertise on the modules used by the company.
• Will develop enhancements to augment the ERP system’s capabilities

Duties/Responsibilities to accomplish Essential Functions: Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the ERP system by maintaining roles, authorizations, devices and jobs
• Applying service packs and hot fixes as appropriate
• Optimizing overall performance and system availability for core components and third-party add-ons
• Training and mentoring the IS group to better understand the ERP system and to be able to complete some of the administrative tasks
• Managing, designing and developing new customizations while supporting existing customizations that include reports, tables, sessions, forms and program scripts
• Working with the Development team to integrate the ERP system with other systems
• Providing functional support for the ERP system to all departments that use the system
• Finding areas for continuous improvement to the ERP system and systems related to it
• Performing annual functions such as archiving and year-end closing
• Monitoring and improving contingency and disaster recovery plans
• Evaluating future products and providing direction and long-term vision for the ERP system.
