Hi,

What are you looking to achieve? Baan stores the text's in a table tttxt010. Text manager is an inbuilt toolbar. You might need to call Baan DLL to insert the text using C#

Dear bhushanchanda thanks for your reply.
I'm recoding an ERP solution based on 4GL. The firm uses BAAN for every processes. Now I'm rewriting Goods Receipts in ASP .NET MVC and I'll need to read and write Notes for Quality Check process.
This notes will be visible as in my new software as in BAAN.
For this purpose I must write/read only tttxt010 table??

What you can do is, write a DLL in Baan which returns a text and then call it using C# code. There are several examples of how to call Baan DLL from external programs. Here's one example of calling from ASP.NET C#.

Can you explain what do you mean by index t_ctxt of the notes table?

The table tttxt010 stores the text data. You can use function text.to.buf() for converting the text to a string and then return the text as a DLL output. Now, call the DLL from your external program.

I don't use external DLL for text handling.
The field t_ctxt in tttxt010 table is a sequence number and i want to know what's the table handles this sequence

Hello,
the table tt txt 010 stores the textlines .
field tttxt010.ctext is the textnumber
field tttxt010.clan stores the text language
field tttxt010.seqe is the text line number
field tttxt010.text stores the text (string 240)

Example:
the item text in tcibd001 (Item master) is stored as text number in field tcibd001.txta.
This text, for example, consists of 6 lines
The text exists in language "2" (English)
Therefore in tttxt010 are 6 records
Code:
textnumber
language
line = 1
1st textline

textnumber
language
line = 2
2nd textline

textnumber
language
line = 3
3rd textline
.....................................
a.s.o.

I suggest to avoid using external applications without application logic !

Regards

As bernd suggests there is not a table that handles that - as far as I know it is an internal functional from baan. As it writes the text it just assigns the next consecutive number for the next line of text.
