Comparison of Double Type - Help Appreciated Baan IV
Baan: Other/Unknown
C/S: None/Unknown

Hello All,

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. I am currently trying to compile a model and receiving the following error, "Comparison of a double type with a long type may yield unpredictable results". This occured after adding a "val" to an Item Code. I've attached examples. Any feedback/assistance is much appreciated.

Baan: Baan IVc3, IVc4, 5b, 5c, ERP LN 6.1, Infor ERP 10.x - DB: SQL Server, Oracle - OS: Windows, Linux, HPUX, AIX, (a little bit of) Solaris
The first thing is that I would expect, in your example, val to simply return a 0; if the string you are converting has non-numeric characters, val will return 0.

Thanks,

Vince

Vince, thanks for the response. Is there a statement I can use in the Parameter Sub to return the option description instead of just the option? It would save me loads of time. Again, many thanks.
