100% cycle count
Baan: Other/Unknown

Hi All,

How can I generate cycle count for 100% of the item in the selected warehouse.

What I noticed is that even though I use " Force Cycle count" during the cycle count generation, not all item in the selected warehouse has a cycle count order line generated.

We need to do a year end physical count for all items in the selected warehouse.

Appreciate your comment.

Thumbs up Parameters

Hi teddy,
The cycle counting orders for an item is not generated
  • If the item is not considered for cycle counting in "Item warehouse data"
  • If the item has already been cycle counted & u are regenerating the cycle counting orders prior to the frequency/ interval that is defined in inventory handling parameters.

Thanks

Hari Prasad B

Hi haripra,

Thanks for the reply. I do understand your message.

I am just wondering is there any way that I can overwrite all this conditions so that i can generate cycle count order for all items in the selected warehouse uncondictionally.

Hi teddy,
For your specific requirement, what you can do is
1. Unblock the inventory of all the items in that particular warehouse.
2. Insert records in cycle counting order table for all the items in the specific warehouse.
3. Enter the cyclcle counting data against all the items.
4. Process the cycle counting Order.

I hope this will work...

Thanks

Hi haripra,

I got your point. In fact, this is the only way that I discovered. However, I find it too manual. Imagine we have a few hundred items in the warehouse.

I am just wondering if there is other more automated way of doing this.

In case you have too much items u can go for customized session using the above logic.....,which will serve your purpose.
