Error- Automatic Balancing of Profit & Loss Accounts
Baan: Infor ERP 10.5

Hi All,
while running session tfgld6202m000- Automatic Balancing of P&L Accounts, getting error- Dimension 1 of Ledger Account XXXXXX must be filled.
Now that all transactions have been finalised & Periods 'Soft Closed' , how is it possible to resolve this error ? Please suggest.
Balancing method in 'Comp Parameters' is 'Individual'.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I guess you will have solved the problem in the meantime but just in case - go to the company parameter and add a default Dimension 1 for Balancing.

Thanks Kai,
but this does not seems working for 'Balancing Method'='Individual Accounts' option.
this seems valid for option ='Total'.
Can you also please verify this once.
Thanks again for your reply.

This error is given when the dimension of the original transaction is empty where the dimension option of the ledger account is Mandatory.

This may happen if the dimension option was set to Mandatory, but transactions with empty dimension where still present in the fiscal year.

In order to be able to proceed, the dimension need to be filled via GTM in tfgld106 table for the transactions with empty dimension. Also, it will be required to rebuild the ledger history for the account and dimensions (tfgld3203m000) for the affected fiscal periods (note: if the fiscal periods are finally closed, it will be also required to open them via GTM, and closed them afterwards)
