Purpose

• To identity, shape, and specify business solutions that increase user productivity and improve the access to, and the quality of, management information
• To continuously test and review business processes for improvement opportunities

Job Description

• Works on complex problems of diverse scope where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required to resolve problems and develop recommendations and action plans
• Interfaces with consultants, Italian IT staff, and users to complete tasks to meet timelines
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments
• Acts as liaison between Italian IT development staff and Montreal users
• Manages and/or validates the enhancements and new features (of the BAAN system) through coordination with users and the Italian IT development staff to insure proper testing, documentation, and training is performed.
• Works closely with users, management, and Italian IT development staff to pro-actively identify business process issues and resolution strategies
• May require after hours and weekend support on-site and/or remote access availability

Job Requirements and Pre-requisities

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems or related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills (e.g., implementation methodology, planning, organizing, monitoring progress, etc.)
• Expertise with the Baan ERP system (version IVc4), including all distribution, manufacturing, and finance modules
• Experience providing functional and technical support to a Baan system user community
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• 5+ years experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment with application support, systems analysis and implementation, documentation, training, and testing
