Multi language fields
Baan: ERP LN 6.1 FP7
C/S: Both

In a unicode environment we can turn on multi data language functionality. We can register tables with multi language fields and identify what multi byte field we want to store data in multi languages. Does anyone know which table this data is stored by different languages set up in data languages? For example I set up en and tr as two different languages to test this functionality. I have registered table tcmcs085 and tcmcs085.dsca to be supported in multi languages. I inserted a record in this table. Now I am trying to figure out where this data is stored in ERP LN. Any help in this area is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kumar

Hi Kumar,

I just happened to come across this post of yours. The multilanguage data fields are stored in the database in shadow tables. These are extensions to the regular tables in the database. You are not able to view them from within LN.

Regards,
Eli

You have to change data language for user in ERPLN if you want to see descriptions in different language. You can also check descriptions directly in database. Table is "stcmcs085nnn".

You do it through the Multi Data Language sessions: ttadv4106m000, ttadv1111m000 & ttadv4137m000.
