Question Can we record user actions like in excel macro?

Would like to develop Baan Tester if possible.Baan Functional people generally do testing which is a repetitive they will define the list of sessions. The tough part is we have to track there actions in background session. If we can record user activity in a session we should play it at later time. This is similar to MS Excel Record Macro.
Is it possible?
