Error 514 is a generic one, irrespective of DB & OS.
It is more on the permission level on the DB and not the OS. (514 is a DB error)
As per the help file, below.
Quote:
514 ESECURITY - No permission
Description:
This is a security error. It probably indicates you do not have the correct user or group permission.
Solution:
Get the correct permission.
Regards.

Baan: Baan IV, BaanERP 5.0c, ERP LN - DB: Oracle, SQL - OS: Unix, Linux, Windows
Please check also the permissions of the group/role "baan5cdbg". For DDL like "create table" the group/role is used and not the user (baan).

Baan: Baan IVc3, IVc4, 5b, 5c, ERP LN 6.1, Infor ERP 10.x - DB: SQL Server, Oracle - OS: Windows, Linux, HPUX, AIX, (a little bit of) Solaris
Also, the user corresponding to "baan5cdbg" (which should be baan5cdb) needs to either be the database owner or have the db_owner role for the database.

Baan: Baan IV, Baan 5.0c, SSA ERP LN 6.1 - DB: bisam, Oracle, Informix, Sql Server - OS: Unix (all), Windows
It could be a problem with your installation portingset as well. Check if your dastabase version is supported with your portingset.
