Set up a dev Streamserver instance

We have a customer on Baan IV that is trying to duplicate their production Streamserve instance to a dev instance so that they can make changes in a safe space prior to making them in production. We've tried to get Open Text to help, but they are saying that an upgrade has to happen first for a significant amount of money.

Does anyone have experience/advice on the Streamserve install process or how to go about this?
