Infor LN 10.5 environment configuration
Baan: ERP LN 6.1 FP11 (Infor ERP 10.5)
DB: SQL Server 2012
OS: Windows 2000
C/S: None/Unknown

Hi,

Manage to install LN successfully, but when come to perform the environment configuration, i hit this error as per attached

could someone please help.

First of all, you have to write bshell name, probably "bshell". If this will not help then check if you can ping server 127.0.0.1 and check if port 7150 is open.

Hi,

yes can ping 127.0.0.1 and firewall already turn off. but still cannot connect.

Hi,

yes i put in the bshell, i change to protocol to rexec and test connection, it work. but
i wonder why the baanlogin protocol cannot work.

Run Infor Manager and check Infotr ES Logic Service properties. Is field Baanlogin checked?

... and if BaanLogin is checked, put port 512 in your connection string (use this port for rexec and BaanLogin)

Hi All,

Check the ES Logic Service properties. Baanlogin is checked and noticed need to
put the port 512 and not 7150 than only work.

Baan: L.N 6.1 FP7, 10.3, 10.4 & 10.5 - DB: SQL Server - OS: Windows
Simply changing the protocol from Rexec to Baanlogin doesn't work.

I've used Baanlogin while configuring the SSO (Single-Sign-on). It uses port 7150.

If you're not going to configure the SSO, then you can keep the protocol as Rexec.
