I have created CDF date field. Which I want to print in the report. But it always gives zero value i.e. BLANK.

I hope you have selected the field and included in the input fields of the Report?

The full features of CDF are available only in Web UI. So have you tried printing it in Web UI?

you will have to do some workaround in case if it is not coming in Classic BW ..

Dear Ajesh,

In Webui also same issue. I have used below syntax but in debugger mode also it shows adat variable value as ZERO.

extern domain tcdate tdpur400.cdf_adat

select tdpur400.*
from tdpur400
where tdpur400._index1 = {:tdpur401.orno}
selectdo

adat = tdpur400.cdf_adat

Don't declare the CDF, but the table.

CDFs are not part of the standard table definition so you have to explicitly get the field(s). This can be done a few different ways:

Code:
extern domain  tcdate  my.adat

       | CDF must be imported into local field.
select tdpur400.*, tdpur400.cdf_adat:my.adat
from tdpur400
where tdpur400._index1 = {:tdpur401.orno}
selectdo
....
      | my.adat will be available in a report when declared extern.

You can also get CDF values at any time using 'import' or 'get.var':

Code:
extern domain  tcdate  my.adat

select tdpur400
from tdpur400
where tdpur400._index1 = {:tdpur401.orno}
selectdo
....
ret = import("tdpur400.cdf_adat", my.adat)

  -- or --

ret = get.var(pid, "tdpur400.cdf_adat", my.adat)

....
      | my.adat will be available in a report when declared extern.

Thanks for support. Problem has been sorted out.

ret = import("tdpur400.cdf_adat", my.adat) shows output as ZERO whereas
ret = get.var(pid, "tdpur400.cdf_adat", my.adat) shows correct output.
